HAND WASHING
Silk is a naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, and anti-microbial fibre, meaning it requires far less frequent washing than synthetic fabrics. While we would never suggest neglecting the care of your Luna pieces, you may find they stay fresh longer than expected. A gentle spot clean and a moment to air can often be all they need, a mindful approach that not only prolongs the beauty of your silk but also helps protect our planet.

For optimal care, we recommend hand washing your Luna loungewear in cool water using a specialist silk detergent. This preserves both the life of the garment and the richness of its colour. Avoid soaking and handle your silk with the same care and elegance with which it was made.
DO NOT MACHINE WASH
While we always recommend hand washing your Luna pieces, if you trust your washing machine and regularly launder delicate items in it, please follow these guidelines.

Always use a specialist silk detergent, conventional detergents often contain harsh chemicals that can strip silk and cashmere of their colour, softness, and lustre. Select a gentle hand wash cycle and ensure the temperature is set to cold.
Never exceed 30°C, as cooler water will help preserve the fabric’s longevity, texture, and luxurious feel. Avoid stain removers, as they may damage delicate fibres.

Please note: These instructions do not apply to items labelled “Dry Clean Only.” Always check the care label before washing.
AIR DRYING & IRONING
Always hang your silk pieces to air dry, never place them in a tumble dryer, as heat can compromise their delicate fibres.

To restore the natural lustre and smooth finish of your Luna loungewear, gently iron or steam using your iron’s delicate or lowest heat setting.

Iron on the reverse side to protect the fabric. If pressing on the front is necessary, place a fine cotton cloth between the iron and the silk to safeguard its luxurious surface.
